Police release photos in missing Aurora boy case

June 1, 2011 (AURORA, Ill.)

Timmothy was last seen on May 13 on video surveillance with his mother, Amy Fry Pitzen, checking out of a Wisconsin Dells hotel. Fry-Pitzen's body was found a day later in a Rockford hotel room. She killed herself and left a note saying Timmothy was fine, but not saying where the boy is.

Her SUV was found in the parking lot of that motel. Officials processing the vehicle said tall grass and weeds were found underneath the vehicle. They are now looking to see if any of that dirt or growth is unique to certain areas. Police have been searching Rock Falls, Sterling and Dixon, Illinois, which are the last places Timmothy and his mother were together, according to cell phone records.

Police also released photos of toys like the ones Fry-Pitzen bought for Timmothy between May 11 and 13. Officials are asking people -- especially outdoor enthusiasts in the area -- to keep an eye out for those items. They believe they could lead to Timmothy.

Officials are also looking for Fry-Pitzen's cell phone and I-Pass transponder. A Spider Man backpack is also missing.

Anyone with information should call Aurora Police at 630-256-5500 or dial 911 for a local agency.
