Investigators say the driver of the first vehicle hit a police car near 16th and Central Park and then took off as officers gave chase.
The driver eventually crashed into a building along the 4800 block of West Van Buren before running away from the scene.
Two other police cars collided during the chase.
Several officers were treated for minor injuries.
Police are still looking for the driver who got away.
