The Lake County judge who sentenced Yang to life in prison for the killings of Rhoni Reuter and her unborn baby said Monday he would not grant her a shorter term.
Yang's attorneys had filed the motion to reconsider the sentence.
Next, they will appeal her conviction and sentence.
Prosecutors proved Yang killed the two because she was jealous of Reuter's relationship with former bear Shaun Gayle.
