Hundreds of people turned out Monday night to help figure out how to stop crime in Chicago's Chatham neighborhood on the city's South Side.

Residents joined top law enforcement officials and Congressman Bobby Rush for the meeting. The congressman says the neighborhood is plagued by drug dealers operating in the open and carrying automatic weapons.

Residents want more police in the area, and a long-term solution to the crime problem.
