Chick-fil-A opens first Chicago store

June 16, 2011 (CHICAGO)

Some people camped out at the corner of Chicago and Wabash because the first 100 people in line received a year's supply of chicken.

The Chick-fil-A store design is serving as a test for the chain. Most of its current locations are in areas where people are more likely to drive through.

The chain has three locations in the suburbs and plans to add 18 more in the Chicago area over the next three years.
