Police warn residents about South Side armed robberies

Chicago police are warning residents about a series of armed robberies on the city's South Side.

Officials are investigating four armed robberies over a one-month period between Ma7 27th and June 22nd. The robberies occurred in the 7200 block of South Stony Island and South Exchange Avenue, the 6300 block of South Shore Drive and the 1500 block of East 74th Place.

In each incident, two suspects pulled hand guns during the robbery.

Residents are reminded to walk in groups in well-lit areas and to report any suspicious people or activity to police.
