WCL: Beat The Heat Fashion: Look Hot, Stay Cool!

With the temperatures rising outside, finding fashionable ways to beat the heat can be tough! Style expert and author, Amy Tara Koch, stopped by to show us how to look hot, while staying cool.

Koch says: During the sweltering hot summer months, it's all about the cool, crisp look that I call ISLAND FAB. Translation? White, light, billowy maxi dresses, bold prints, gold accents and big sunglasses. Style is about flattering fit and a compelling combination of accent pieces ? not about spending a load of money on designer duds. So, remember to layer your outfit with interesting accessories. The best fabric choices are cotton, linen, silk and lightweight knots as these choices breathe and won't stick to the body like a wool or synthetic. Add pops of color to basics with scarves, bags and jewelry. Plus, remember that open toed shoes like sandals and wedges will keep feet the coolest!

Amy's Rules (NOT) To Sweat By:
1. Keep it light
2. Try for white (No LBD? go for the LWD!)
3. Keep it loose
4. Rock an open toe
5. Make your own shade
