Germany's computer security agency warns of a security hole in software running some of Apple's most popular devices.

Germany's federal office for information security says Apple's iOS software which runs iPhones, iPads and the iPod Touch has a critical weakness.

The agency says clicking on an infected PDF file can place malware on the devices. The user may not even realize it.

Apple has not commented on the warning.
