The pedestrian died. Police say David Bunch, 49, was waiting for a bus near Jackson and Homan early Sunday when he was struck by a car. Bunch was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital.
Police say Ashley Johnson, 22, of the 3200-block of West Jackson Boulevard, turned herself in. She is charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury or death, driving without a license, and not exercising due care to a pedestrian in roadway.
