Police say a man and woman were sitting in a beige Nissan Altima when someone approached with a gun about 3:30 a.m. near West Irving Park and North Kenmore near Graceland Cemetery. Police listed the incident address as 4124 N. Kenmore .
The shooter tried to rob the two, then shots were fired. The man, in his 30s, was hit in the stomach, the woman, in her 20s, was shot in the shoulder and stomach.
Both victims were in serious condition Friday morning at Illinois Masonic Hospital. The shooter is not in custody.
