A walk aiming to lower that number was canceled Sunday, due to the stormy weather in the Chicago area. The Tinley Park "Get Your Rear in Gear" 5K was organized in memory of Rick Hayward, who died of colon cancer on 11/11/08.
His wife, Celeste Hayward, spoke to ABC7 via telephone from the planned event site during the Sunday morning broadcast. She is the co-chair of the Tinley Park "Get Your Rear in Gear" 5K and the team captain of "Rick's Weeoo Walkers."
