Bapi owner, and he is from Osio Sotto/Bergamo in the Lombard region of Italy. He received culinary training in Bergamo, one of the oldest towns in Italy. Worked as a sous chef at the Palace Hotel Villa Cortine, Simione, Italy First job in the U.S. in '91: Sous Chef at Le Madri in NYC. From there he went to Sapore di Mare Restaurant, St. Barts; then to Coco Pazzo in Chicago; then Bice in South Beach, Miami, FL. Other restaurants in Chicago he has owned or co-owned: Carpaccio in Palatine; I Gemelli in Addison; Cristiano's in Palatine (3 stars from Phil Vettel). In '04 he worked for Carlucci in Downers Grove as Exec. Chef. He has received high praise from the Chicago Tribune, Daily Herald, Sun Times, and other publications for his contributions to Meals On Meal and other charitable causes, and his Northern Italian cooking.
