WCL: Joel and Victoria Osteen make a Gurnee boy's wish come true

Joel and Victoria Osteen surprise 13-year-old Daniel Wang from Gurnee. Daniel is battling an aggressive form of brain cancer and listens to the Osteen's every Sunday.

Joel and Victoria are in Chicago for "America's Night of Hope" which will take place Saturday, August 6th at U.S. Cellular Field along with the music of Dove Award winner Cindy Cruse Ratcliff, Dadra Greathouse, Steve Crawford and the Lakewood Band and Ensemble. Joel and Victoria Osteen are pastors at Lakewood Community Church in Texas and reach one of the largest audiences in the U.S. and across the globe.

Daniel Wang is a part of The Bear Hugs Program which supports cancer patients (ages 0 -19), as well as their immediate families that face the many challenges that accompany the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric cancer. Our outreach serves both in state and out of state children that are being treated at one of the nine major Chicago area hospitals with pediatric oncology departments. A Bear Hug is a customized experience that brightens the life of a child going through cancer. The Bear Hugs Program also provides immediate family support for financial burden and essential needs.
