A 9-year-old girl from Crystal Lake is making life better for children who are spending time in the hospital.

Abby Enck has raised more than $800 by selling popcorn. She's using the money to buy new DVDs, microwave popcorn and candy for movie nights at Lutheran General Children's Hospital in Park Ridge.

"My brother has cerebral palsy and he goes to the hospital a lot, so I thought that it'd be nice to give something," Enck said.

The Child Life Program at the hospital has monthly movie nights.
