A back-to-school health fair was held on Chicago's Northwest Side Friday.

It was hosted by 31st Ward Alderman Ray Suarez at Kelvyn Park.

There were free health screenings and physicals. Children also received school supplies and a free lunch.

The school system is using star power to make sure kids are in class when school begins on the 6th of September.

Starting next week, Chicago Public school children and their parents will get robo-calls from people including singer Jennifer Hudson, White Sox Manager Ozzie Guillen, Kerry Wood of the Cubs, and Blackhawks star Patrick Sharp.
