Senator Dick Durbin says he is backing Duckworth. They toured a manufacturing company in Elk Grove Village Monday.
As Durbin credited Bley LLC for creating high paying local jobs in a challenging economy, he emphasized Duckworth's credentials in her bid to unseat current Congressman Joe Walsh.
"She has shown courage in her life and has shown common sense when it comes to dealing with the challenges that we face," said Durbin. "She can not only help the veterans get on their feet, she can help unemployed workers as well. She can help families build their neighborhoods and communities."
Duckworth will face Raja Krishnamoorthi in the Democratic primary. He says he has the experience to create jobs and help the middle class.
