Alert issued after South Side sex assault

Chicago police are looking for a suspect in a sexual assault on the city's South Side.

They issued a community alert after the man pulled a gun and attacked a 21-year-old woman Sunday just before 9 p.m. on the 6800 block of South Perry. The attacker approached the woman, asked to use her cell phone, then produced a gun and pulled her into an alley and assaulted her.

Police have released a sketch of the suspect. The offender is described as 40-55 years old, 6'-6'3", 150-170 lbs., with a dark complexion. He is bald, has a partially gray beard and a scar on the left side of his head.
