A 60-year-old Chicago man has now been charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery after an attack at a suburban restaurant.

Bond was set at $100,000 Tuesday for Xiu-Bin Mei. He's accused of attacking a man and a woman with a meat cleaver in the China Bowl restaurant in Elk Grove Village on Monday. The suspect had just been fired when he allegedly attacked his boss and another worker.

The injured employees were treated at area hospitals for non-life threatening injuries.
