Handles the personal, financial, and legal affairs of developmentally disabled, mentally ill and elderly persons with disabilities; if estate is less than $25,000.00, or when the person is a resident of a different county (not Cook county).

Illinois Cares RX Program
Provides prescription drug assistance to low-income seniors and disabled persons. For participants enrolled in Medicare Part D, Illinois Cares Rx helps lower the participants' copayments and cost-sharing. Illinois Cares Rx provides direct prescription drug coverage for participants who are not eligible for Medicare.
