Warrior Summit at Soldier Field

A unique concert, benefit and resource fair is going on all day Tuesday at Soldier Field. It provides benefits, education, employment, housing and legal services for our country's service men and women, veterans and their family.

The Warrior Summit ( www.illinoiswarriorsummit.com) was founded by Rob Malnik, a UIC Graduate and Veteran of Iraq. Health screenings and a resource fair take place inside Soldier Field while outside there will be amazing music and fun for the whole family including FREE meals for the first 5,000 veterans and tickets to The Cubs, The White Sox and The Slaughter.

EVENT TIME TABLE:

12:15 P.M. EMCEE WELCOME/INTROS/OPEN - Special National Guard presentation, National Anthem, Changing of the Color Guard, Recognition of Remembrance Table

12:20 P.M.: Leap Frog Parachute Jump Presentation followed by opening act, Voice of Veterans and musical acts throughout the day including; Color Three (Former members of the band Boston), Returning Marines from Afghanistan, Gabriel's Last Breath, The Blues Brothers with special guest, Liz Mandeville who penned original songs for the troops, Illinois National Guard & A Soldier's Wife; Joey Glenn & Rockie Lynne two rising Country stars who have been performing for the troops and Veterans and will sing their hits, Flowers for Heroes and Songs for Soldiers. Open To Suggestion, The Blues Brothers (Jake & Ellwood) will arrive from their Blues Mobile (authentic Blues Mobile from the Blues Brothers movie, Joan Callaso, Workout Music, The ExoSkeleton will keep the Veterans & families entertained throughout the day.

5:30 P.M.: Ranger Group Jump. Parachutists will be stacked. Colored Smoke will be deployed and the parachutists will have each military flag including the POW flag. Presentation prior to Rockie Lynne's performance.

7:55 - 8:45 P.M.: Wayne Baker Brooks & All-Star Blues (featuring Sugar Blue, and Peaches Staten) Sugar Blue, is the preeminent harmonica/Blues Harp in world and is best known for playing with the Rolling Stones. Emcee for the Blues Finale is Big Llou Johnson the Golden Voice of Sirius XM Radio's Bluesville.

8:40 P.M.: SWEET HOME CHICAGO & GOD BLESS AMERICA FINALE WITH BAND MEMBERS AND ACTIVE DUTY ARMED FORCES IN UNIFORM.
