A jury has convicted a man in the 2007 death of a University of Chicago doctoral student.

Demetrius Warren was 17 years old when he and three other men robbed and murdered Amadou Cisse.

Cisse had just celebrated the completion of the PhD in chemistry program. He was walking home when Warren and his crew held him up.

The four were also responsible for a series of other stickups that night around the campus.

Warren faces up to 80 years in prison for Cisse's murder.
