A couple in their 70s was tied up and robbed inside their north suburban home.

It happened Monday night at the Cloisters subdivision in Glenview.

Police say two men used deception to force their way into the home. One of the men wore a mask and carried a handgun.

The two residents were restrained in another room while the men stole about $60,000 worth of jewelry.

After the men fled, the residents untied themselves and called police.

The couple was not hurt.
