WCL: Pack Those Under-Eye Bags

Whether it's due to allergies, poor circulation, exhaustion or just plain genetics, under-eye bags are something many women and men have to battle. Style and beauty expert Amy Tara Koch stopped by to give us some D.I.Y. remedies and show us the products that really work.

Amy says: The goal is to restrict capillaries, reduce swelling and increase circulation. Here are a few things to try:

  • Use witch hazel soaked cotton pads and place on your under eye bags
  • Green tea-tannins and caffeine will draw out fluids and speed up circulation
  • Cucumber compress (grind ¼ cucumber rolled into paper towel) will help to reduce swelling
  • Hold cold soup spoons on bags to decrease swelling
  • Reduce your salt intake

STEP 1: USE AN UNDER EYE SERUM OR CREAM Look for products with:

  • Antioxidants like green tea and pomegranate
  • Caffeine to speed up circulation
  • Retinol (retinoid) and peptides to stimulate collagen production
  • Hydrating properties like Vitamin E, K, grape seed extract, rose extract, chamomile

Amy's Recommendations:

  • L'Oreal Youth Code Eye Cream, $24.99
  • L'Oreal Collagen Micro Pulse Vibrating Eye Treatment, $19.99
  • FAB Detox Eye Roller, $24
  • L'Oreal Age Perfect Hydra Nutrition Golden Eye Balm Eye Cream, $19.99

  • Pixi Correction Concentrate, $15
