Actor, Darrin Henson, of 'All My Single Ladies'

Darrin Henson's career has taken him from behind the scenes to actor in several movies.

One of his most famous roles is as "Lem Van Adams" on the hit Showtime series "Soul Food." He is currently starring in the stage play "All My Single Ladies", debuting this weekend at the Harold Washington Cultural Center. It's playing 8PM nightly Friday night, August 26th and Saturday, August 27th. In addition to Henson, "All My Single Ladies" has an all-star cast including Tony Grant from Tyler Perry's The Marriage Counselor and I Can Do Bad All By Myself, DeWayne Woods, Gospel Recording Artist "Let Go, Let God", Richard Gallion, from John Ruffin's Love Me or Leave Me and The Ideal Husband and Chris Bolton from David Talbert's Mr. Right Now. "All My Single Ladies" is a musical stage play based on the past and present relationships between men and women. It deals with the issues of love, lust, redemption and how far people will actually go in the name of love.

Darrin Dewitt Henson can be seen in the Universal film "The Express" where he plays, the legendary, Jim Brown opposite Dennis Quaid. He had a lead role in Sony Screen Gems "Stomp the Yard" and the HBO Film, "Life Support. Then came "The Salon." Henson can also be seen in Jeb Stuart's "Blood Done Sign My Name." His video, Darrin's Dance Grooves, has also proven successful with over 3 million copies sold and he looks forward to starting production on a movie version of it in the future.
