3 hurt in Garfield Park cop-CTA crash

An accident involving two Chicago police officers and a CTA worker sent all three to the hospital on the West Side early Thursday.

The squad car had its emergency lights and siren activated and was heading to assist another unit when it collided with a CTA vehicle.

The three have minor injuries and were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital to be checked out. It was not immediately known if anyone will be cited in the crash.

The crash happened about 1 a.m. in the 3200 block of West Warren Boulevard, police News Officer Amina Greer said.
