A soldier from Chicago will celebrate Labor Day at home after a surprise party greeted him back from his tour of duty.

The family of Steven Gallardo, 31, and the Warrior Watch Riders welcomed him home from Afghanistan Sunday. He also brought a buddy from his unit, Tony Antku.

Gallardo has served in Afghanistan and Iraq. This is the end of his tour.

His family actually told Gallardo they'd celebrate his younger son's first birthday Sunday, and instead organized a surprise escort and party.

Gallardo is stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky., and lives in Tennessee with his wife and their two sons.
