'Mickey and Minnie's Magical Journey'

September 6, 2011 (NEWS RELEASE)

Disney On Ice presents Mickey & Minnie's Magical Journey transports fans straight from their seats into the magical worlds of four beloved Disney films - Disney's The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Lilo & Stitch and Peter Pan.

Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy have their bags all packed for a journey that will visit best friends Lilo and Stitch as they hula in Hawaii; Simba and Nala as they explore the African Pride Lands; Ariel and Sebastian as they experience an aquatic adventure in their undersea kingdom, and Peter Pan and Tinker Bell as they soar through the starry skies.

Disney On Ice presents Mickey & Minnie's Magical Journey features an international team of award-winning figure skaters, a colorful set that captures all four unique worlds, from the skyline of London all the way to the lush islands of Hawaii, and high-energy choreography by Cindy Stuart. Stuart, who has worked with such skating luminaries as Nancy Kerrigan, Katarina Witt, and Olympic Champions Jamie Sale and David Pelletier, has created a spirited voyage of hilarious group production numbers and vigorous solo skating sequences for this action-packed spectacular.

Among Stuart's favorite production numbers, the pirates' dance in the Peter Pan segment features dozens of boot-stomping pirates and music from Gilbert and Sullivan's "Pirates of Penzance." Balancing out this manly spectacle, Stuart chose to highlight Timon and Pumbaa's hilarious antics and the blossoming love between Ariel and Eric.
