Yellow bumps around eyes could indicate heart risk

Those bumps are actually deposits of cholesterol, and researchers say they could be a sign of other fatty build up in the body.

The link between the skin condition and heart disease is characterized as an association rather than a clear case of cause and effect.

Still, cardiologist say the findings published on the British Medical Journal website could be used by doctors to help diagnose at-risk patients.
