Report: 63 pct of Ill. undergrads finish degrees

A new report on the state of college completion in America from the non-profit Complete College America says full-time Illinois students seeking bachelor's degrees only finish 63 percent of the time.

The report also says only 24.3 percent of part-time students finish in eight years. Of those seeking two-year associate degrees, the completion rates after four years are 26 percent for full-time students and 10 percent for part-time students.

For a one-year certificate, after two years only 22.4 percent of full-time and 10.8 percent of part-time studenst completed their programs.
