He boy became trapped Wednesday as he was being dropped off at his school in Boca Raton, Florida. The child apparently tripped in front of an oncoming car and it ran over him.
Police and bystanders lifted the car off the boy. One of the first officers on the scene tried to reassure the child.
"He was visibly shaken. He was scared. He said he was scared and he wanted to get out of there. I told him to be brave and we'll get him out in just a minute," said Ernie Bucinskas, Community Service Office.
The boy was not seriously hurt. The rescue was captured on a police dashcam.
