Police were responding to a call of shots fired in the 1300-block of South Langley Avenue.
Officers say when they approached a group of people in the parking lot one of them fled.
After a short chase, investigators say the teenage suspect fired at least two shots, wounding one of the officers.
The injured officer was treated and released.
The suspect is in custody.
