Orland Park man who fought in Libya welcomed home

October 24, 2011 (ORLAND PARK, Ill.)

Ibrahim Elfirjani, 62, of Orland Park left home in February to join the fight against Moammar Gadhafi.

At a celebration, Elfirjani said because he was once a Libyan soldier he commanded 300 fighters. He said at the time Gadhafi was finally taken he was in the same city but not present for the capture.

"We catch Gadhafi and his son. This was most happy moment in my life to catch this guy in the hunt," said Elfirjani.

Gadhafi's body has been moved from the commercial freezer where it was stored and is expected to be buried in secret Tuesday.
