University of Chicago student David Showalter helped organize the event that will focus on "The Situation," Snooki and the rest of the crew.
Showalter is part of a group of students that gather weekly to watch the MTV show and discuss cultural issues such as gender, sexuality and ethnic identity.
Organizers expect hundreds of students and academics to attend the conference.
