Naperville to get rid of red-light cams

November 2, 2011 (NAPERVILLE, Ill.)

Council members voted Tuesday night to end the red-light camera contract early. Cameras will be removed from three Naperville intersections in January.

The termination of the contract will cost the city $261,000 in revenue in the current and next fiscal years.

Naperville's city manager says that will cause the projected budget deficit to grow.
