Man critically hurt after crashing into auto shop

A man is in critical condition after crashing his car into a building on Chicago's Southwest Side.

There is extensive damage to the car and to an auto supply store in the Mount Greenwood neighborhood.

A 27-year-old man crashed his vehicle into the shop in the 10300 block of South Kedzie Avenue about 1:20 a.m. and was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.

No one else was in the car and the crash is still under investigation, Gaines said. It is not yet known whether drugs or alcohol were involved.

Sinclair's Auto Clinic has a listed address of 10358 S. Kedzie Avenue.
