County, Bank of America offering financial workshops

November 8, 2011 (CHICAGO)

County board president Toni Preckwinkle says the workshops focus on improving what she calls the personal financial literacy of the county's unemployed.

The workshops will be led by a team of 86 trained Bank of America volunteers.

"These communities have been particularly hard hit," said Preckwinkle. "So it's important that we provide them with tools they need to do more with less under difficult circumstances."

The workshops will be held every other week at Cook County's employment centers in Cicero, Chicago Heights, Maywood and Oak Forest.
