iBAM! Celebration

November 12, 2011 8:01:41 AM PST
This weekend, Chicago's Irish population is celebrating its heritage with the third annual iBAM! celebration.

More than 100 Irish and Irish-themed authors, musicians, artists and performers will get together for the two-day event that features book signings, lectures, panel discussions, exhibits on loan from Ireland, live music, theater and dance performances and children's activities. iBAM! is a fundraiser for the Irish American Heritage Centerand its library.

Cliff Carlson, chair of the iBAM! Committee and publisher of the Irish American News, Uyvonne Page of the Chicago Calligraphy Collective, and calligrapher Jack Scott joined us in our ABC7 studio to talk about the iBAM! Event, and to show off calligraphy you can get at the celebration. This year's theme is Handing Down the Tradition.
