He put out several independent releases before being signed to a major recording label. Then, in 2009, his song "On the Ocean" became a huge hit and was played on R&B stations across the country.
Many have compared K'Jon's voice to Marvin Gaye. K'Jon is in Chicago for a concert Saturday night at the pre-Thanksgiving steppers affair and to promote his upcoming CD "Moving On" due out in March of 2012. The first single, "Will You Be There" will be playing on radio stations by the end of the month.
