According to police, 29-year-old Cornelius Thompson did not stop after a minor crash Saturday night on Indiana Route 49.
Police chased him at what they call "a very high rate of speed." After they stopped him, they found his 1-year-old son in an improperly restrained child-safety seat.
Thompson faces several charges, including drunken driving and neglect. The baby was released to his mother. No one was injured.
