Jose Cornejo-Flores, 51, is charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving a death.
Police said the man struck the woman with a van and kept going early Saturday morning.
The victim, Wyun Cho, was crossing Kimball near Sunnyside in Chicago's Albany Park neighborhood.
She was pronounced dead at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
