The attack took place in west suburban LaGrange around 8:30 a.m.
According to police, the three men approached the nanny as she was putting the kids, age 2, 5, and 6, into a vehicle outside an apartment complex. The robbers put them all in the bathroom and ransacked the apartment. The nanny remained with the kids in the bathroom for about 45 minutes until she was sure the robbers had gone.
Nobody was hurt.
So far, no arrests have been made.
