Illinois State Police have released 911 tapes from callers reporting a driver who was heading the wrong way on the Edens Expressway early Thursday.

"I have a report of a vehicle going the wrong direction. Where's he at now? (unintelligible) He's headed northbound in the southbound lanes. Near Old Orchard Road."

"He's in the left lane going westbound on the eastbound side."

"We gotta a bunch of people calling on him but thank God he hasn't hit anybody yet. We got cars flying up trying to catch him."

Police say 24-year-old Sergio Galvez-Delira traveled 11 miles before he was stopped. He faces several charges, including driving under the influence, reckless driving and having no insurance.
