Christmas Volunteer List

Christmas Cheer Foundation Details: An all-volunteer group that delivers prepared meals, toys and books to Chicagoland homebound and hungry on Christmas Day to over 15,000 people.
The names are secured from public service agencies, schools, township service offices, and people who call for help. Its success is based on contributions from community members and local business owners and hundreds of volunteers. The need for volunteers and donations grows annually.

The Salvation Army
Details: Whether you're ringing a bell with the iconic red kettles, wrapping toys for children to open for Christmas, or packaging holiday meals to distribute to those in need, there are countless ways for you to give back.

Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly
Details: Spend some quality time with the elderly and escort them to different holiday parties whether in their home or elsewhere!

Chicago's Christmas Ship
Details: Help give Christmas trees to disadvantaged families who would not otherwise be able to have a Christmas tree. A committee was formed to do just that, acting as an activity of the Navy League.

Greater Chicago Food Depository
Details: Volunteer at one of the Greater Chicago Food Depository's member soup kitchens, pantries and shelters by helping prepare and serve meals.
