3 released in Logan Square sex assault investigation

January 2, 2012 (CHICAGO)

The woman is in a coma after being sexually assaulted and beaten outside a concert theater in Chicago.

Police say the 18-year-old victim tried to get into a concert at the Congress Theater in the Logan Square neighborhood.

A theater employee says she was turned away because she was drunk and had no ID. He then noticed a group of men approaching the woman.

Later, the employee says three men alerted him to a woman lying naked and unconscious on the ground. Suspicious that the men had blood on their clothes. The worker says he asked concert security for help.

"These three guys came back that police took into custody, those two people said those are the guys, those are the guys. And police ran and grabbed them," said witness Peter Bormes.

Police have made no arrests in the case.
