Metra UP North trains delayed after person hit

Trains on the Metra Union Pacific North Line were moving again Monday after a teenage boy was struck in the northern suburbs just after 7 a.m.

Train #314, scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 8:02 a.m., hit a pedestrian just south of the Lake Forest station.

Train #318, scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 8:18 a.m., will be expressing to Winnetka and making all station stops into Chicago. As of 7:50 a.m., the train was operating approximately 30 minutes behind schedule. Train #314, which hit the pedestrian, was operating 45 to 50 minutes behind schedule. Train #314 will drop any passenger not going to Chicago at Fort Sheridan and train #318 will pick them up. Train #320, scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 8:26 a.m., was operating 30 to 35 minutes behind schedule. Train #322, scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 8:35 a.m., was operating 25 to 35 minutes behind schedule. Train #326, scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 8:47 a.m., was operating 15 to 25 minutes behind schedule.

Train #309, scheduled to arrive in Kenosha at 8:20 a.m., was delayed.
