Sen. Mark Kirk and Congressman Mike Quigley are backing legislation that would make it easier for Polish citizens to visit the United States.

The two are leaving today for a six-day trip to Poland. They say Americans can visit Poland without a visa but Poles need one to come. And they believe a visa waiver program would give a big boost to the local economy.

"We think this would be a tremendously beneficial for relations between the two countries but more importantly for the Chicagoland tourist economy to bring Poland into the visa waiver program," said Kirk.

Quigley believes the visa waiver would bring hundreds of millions of tourism dollars to the U.S.
