Medical examiners are trying to figure out exactly how Juan Sanchez, also known as Cesar Sanchez, died on Wednesday.
Last November, he was arrested for a string of armed robberies.
He escaped one month later near Lockport as he was being transported to a court appearance.
After a massive manhunt, Sanchez was found six hours later hiding inside a portable toilet near Joliet.
