Bed, Bath & Beyond Inc. is recalling all the tissue holders and asking customers who bought them to return them for a full refund. The contaminated items are manufactured in India and are in the Dual Ridge Boutique product line.
Staff from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency visited Bed, Bath & Beyond stores in Chicago and Wilmette where the product had been removed from store shelves. Four tissue box holders were found to have elevated radiation levels at the Chicago store. Three were found at the Wilmette store.
Officials say the level of radiation doesn't pose an immediate health risk, but it's wise to avoid unnecessary exposure.
