The bodies of 64-year-old Nathaniel Bracy and 54-year-old Pauline Betts-Bracy were found early Saturday morning in the home in Country Club Hills.
Autopsies performed Saturday found they each suffered multiple gunshot wounds and their deaths were ruled homicides.
A neighbor described the victims as good people. He said he wants to move.
"I'm really scared because I have a family," said neighbor Tom Grant. "You know, I have children. And I just don't want to be around anything like this. I mean, it's scary."
Country Club Hills police have not commented on the investigation or whether they have anyone in custody.
