Elderly alleged robbers to plead guilty

January 17, 2012 (CHICAGO)

Robert Pullia , Arthur Rachel and Jerry Scalise were arrested in 2010. They were allegedly preparing to rob the home of the deceased mob leader Angelo "The Hook" LaPietra. They face federal racketeering and conspiracy charges for plotting several robberies.

The ABC7 I-Team has learned the three will enter guilty pleas when court resumes Wednesday.

Scalise and Rachel did time in the 1980s for the infamous theft of the Marborough diamond from a London Jewerly store. It was never recovered.
